Indian Ocean Commission: Support for Cultural Events (Union of Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles and Mozambique)

To promote the development of cultural and creative industries, the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) is calling for applications for cultural events from organisations based in Union of the Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles and Mozambique.

The grant aims to support inter-island exchanges and collaborations but also to promote access to regional markets, while strengthening the ICC value chain. Priority will be given to projects that have an impact on equality by promoting the full participation and inclusion of women.

Eligible activities include:

Organisation of a cultural and/or artistic event such as festival, fair, competition, exhibition, of a recurring nature;
Organisation of thematic meeting cycles such as conferences, round tables, seminars, forums;
Training workshops on the organisational management of cultural structures.

Eligible costs include:

Human resources (coordination, administration and financial, programming, communication)
Services (technician, consultant, animation, speaker)
Support for operators invited to the organised event (plane and per diem)
Cost of organising conferences (room rental, caterer)
Artistic production (artist’s fee, supplies)
Technical management (equipment rental and installation, occasional staff)
Production of communication tools (printing, networks, video)
Purchase of materials and equipment of less than 250 euros per unit.

The event cannot be less than 5 days nor exceed 30 days. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must not exceed 10,000 EUR.
