Against the backdrop of the UNESCO Global Priority, the Austrian Commission for UNESCO has been focussing on the African continent since 2023. In a broad stakeholder process and in cooperation with communities in Austria and cultural actors from selected countries and international NGOs, it has examined how global asymmetries can be counteracted – with a view to the topics of visas/mobilities and working conditions as well as cooperation programmes and residencies. The results of this process can be found in this online publication.
Marie Le Sourd, Secretary general of On the Move, was interviewed by Austrian Commission for UNESCO within the scope of this publication’s research, in connection with the learning of the report, Schengen Visa Code and Cultural Mobility: Latest Insights with a Focus on Artists and Culture Professionals from the African Continent (2023).
The publication is in German with some sections in English.
