Civil rights organisation AfriForum on Monday said that it requested an urgent meeting with Deputy President Paul Mashatile following an announcement that government’s new water task team is willing to involve it and other civil society roleplayers. The proposed meeting to discuss the matter further aims to address pressing issues regarding water management and the sustainability of this scarce resource in South Africa.
