IFC’s R200m loan to Lenmed to expand healthcare in Botswana, Ghana, Mozambique and South Africa

Global development finance institution the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will provide a R200-million local currency senior loan to African healthcare provider Lenmed to expand its healthcare services over the next four years. Lenmed will expand its services through the acquisition of new facilities, the purchase of medical equipment and by hiring and training additional medical staff. It will also expand the number of beds in its hospital portfolio from 2 318 to almost 3 000.
